Conflict

The conflict in the Salem Witch Trials was that people were falsely accusing others of witchcraft.  Eventually it got out of hand, and everyone became a witch or wizard, and nearly nineteen people were hanged and others went to jail for life.  There was even one person crushed to his death.  The town was out of hand, and soon there would only be a few people that were not accused of anything.

What Caused the Conflict?

Girls were meeting Tituba, (an American Indian slave) and she would do little magic tricks for them.  The girls didn't want anyone finding out, because in there village, any type of magic was forbidden.  They began to act afflicted and they would accuse random people of being witches.  They would fake having illusions, and break down screaming to get everyone thinking that the girls were posessed by someone.  Tituba was the one accused, and the witch-hut started.

The Effects of the Conflict

In result of the Salem Witch Trials, the village lost a lot of respected people. They lost a lot of unnecessary people because would falseely accuse neighbors or enemies just to get revenge on people for things that happened a long time ago or grudges that have been carried for weeks, months even years!
