The puritans were originally from England, but they came to Salem in order to study Christianity. The puritans were
determined to "purify" Englands churches, and rid the evil spirits. Pilgrims on the other hand, just moved away from the church.
In Salem, the puritans were treated badly, because of their beliefs.

The picture above is a picture of the first male and female puritains. This picture was taken in old day England, and they
resembled much of the pilgrams.

Back in 1692, people were sometimes doing things that aren't normal, and the only thing people could imagine it being
was witchcaft. Before the accusations started, the people that moved to massachusettes were the puritains. mostly everyone
that awas accused of being a witch was a puritain. The people believed that it was the puritains, because they always tried
tp persuade the villagers into changing there religion. Everyone decided that they used there witchcraft to make the people
give them a chance.
