Compromise

When Cotton Mathers realized that they were losing too many respected people in their town, he held a meeting, and had a speech that made everyone vote, and protest against the trials.  After a couple of months, the town won, and stopped the witch-hunt.

The witch trials started in 1692 and ended after only one hectic year.

* Cotton Mathers made his speech that ended everything

* The townspeople voted, and they agreed with Cotton Mathers, so they protested, and stopped everything with him.

In the end, the people stopped everytinhg, and no one was blamed again.  After years, witch accusations were still there, but no one was hanged.

Cotton Mathers Quote:

Cotton Mathers said to the people: "People of Salem, we are getting rid of people like insects, so lets turn the tables and get rid of this posessed creature that is destroying our town for good!"
